Policy

1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how Oh No Games (“Oh No Games”, “we”, “us”) handles personal information when you visit ohnogames.site (the “Website”) or play our games, including D.J.T — Don the Jurassic Tyrant: Mid-Term Extinction (the “Games”).
We are the controller of the personal information described here. You can reach us at:
2. The short version
- The Website uses no cookies, no analytics and no advertising trackers.
- We only receive personal information you choose to send us — for example through the contact form or by e-mail.
- Our Games save your progress and settings on your own device. We don't run accounts, ads or analytics in the Games.
- We never sell your personal information.
3. This website
Server logs
Like every website, our hosting provider automatically receives technical information when your browser requests a page: your IP address, browser type, the page requested, the referring page and the date and time. This is needed to deliver the page and to keep the service secure (for example against abuse). We use these logs only for those purposes and they are kept for a short period by the hosting provider.
Fonts
The Website loads its typeface from Google Fonts. To deliver the font, your browser connects to Google's servers, which receive your IP address. Google states that it does not use this information to build profiles or show ads. See Google Fonts privacy FAQ.
Cookies and local storage
We do not set cookies. The home page stores a single flag in your browser's session storage so the intro animation plays only once per visit. It contains no personal information, is never sent to us and is deleted when you close the tab.
4. Contact form & e-mail
When you contact us we receive the information you provide: your name, e-mail address, the topic and your message, plus anything else you choose to include.
We use it only to read and answer your message and to keep a record of our correspondence (for example a press or business conversation). Our legal basis is your consent and our legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us.
Messages sent through the contact form are delivered to our inbox by the form service Formspree, which processes them on our behalf. If the form opens your own e-mail app instead, your message is sent through your e-mail provider like any other e-mail.
5. Our games
Data stored on your device
Our Games store your game progress (which stages are unlocked and your current stage) and your settings (such as graphics, audio and camera options) locally on your device. This data stays on your device and is not sent to us. Uninstalling the game or deleting its save data removes it.
No accounts, ads or analytics
The Games do not require an account with us, do not show advertising and do not include analytics or advertising SDKs. If a future update adds any feature that sends personal information to us or to a third party, we will update this policy before that update is released and, where required, ask for your consent.
Platforms
If you buy or play our Games through a platform such as Steam, that platform (for Steam, Valve Corporation) processes your account, purchase, achievement, cloud-save and similar data under its own privacy policy. We may receive aggregated, non-identifying sales and usage reports from the platform. Please read the Steam Privacy Policy for details.
Bug reports
If you send us a bug report, it may include information you choose to attach, such as screenshots, log files or a description of your computer. We use it only to fix the problem.
6. Third-party services
We share personal information only with the service providers needed to run the Website and answer your messages, and only as far as necessary:
| Service | Purpose | Data |
|---|---|---|
| Website hosting provider | Delivering the Website | IP address, request details |
| Google Fonts | Loading the typeface | IP address, browser details |
| Formspree | Delivering contact-form messages | Name, e-mail, message |
| Our e-mail provider | Receiving and answering e-mail | Your messages and e-mail address |
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights, our users or the public. We never sell or rent personal information.
7. How long we keep data
We keep messages and e-mails for as long as needed to deal with your request and any follow-up, and generally no longer than 24 months after our last contact, unless a longer period is required by law (for example for business or accounting records). Server logs are kept by the hosting provider for a short period, typically up to 30 days.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, California or other places with privacy laws), you may have the right to:
- ask whether we hold personal information about you and get a copy of it;
- ask us to correct or delete it;
- object to or restrict how we use it, or withdraw your consent at any time;
- receive it in a portable format;
- complain to your local data protection authority.
To use any of these rights, e-mail us at hello@ohnogames.site or choose “Privacy request” on our contact form. We will answer within 30 days. We do not sell or “share” personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.
9. Children
The Website is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Security & international transfers
The Website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and we limit access to messages to the people who need them to reply. Our service providers may process data in other countries, including the United States. Where required, such transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example when we release a new game or feature. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed. For significant changes we will make that clear on the Website.
